what is happening?

What has happened to the world today? What has happened to the friendship we held dear? Why is it that it’s all full with conflicts, with anger and confusion? What do we do when we feel betrayed? Where is the compromise we promised each other?

So many questions yet so little answers. Who can answer with certainty to all the questions posed? However sure you are, there is always a small amount of doubt lingering somewhere in your mind.

Reality bites yet we are not living in a dream though we wished that we actually were so that things were less painful and more beautiful. Sometimes I sit and think how far the dreams seem to be, out of my grasp. Do we actually live for the dream that we cannot seem to touch? I for one always believe that I live for myself, not anyone else. So I don’t live just to please people because I’m the one living my life, not them. Why should I change just because people don’t like the way I am? Once, someone told me “you should change your attitude. You have bad temper.” I told him, “If they don’t like me the way I am then it’s their problem. I am not going to change my attitude just to please them because that is the way I am. You either take it or leave it.”

You are what you are. No matter what people say, you are beautiful the way you are. Everyone is created beautiful and I’m not talking about the exterior part. Don’t change for people, change for yourself. If you think there’s nothing about you that needs to change, don’t change even if someone asks you to. Live life for yourself. Pleasure can come in many different forms and there is no rule that says just because you have plenty of friends, a lover and a perfect family, your life is easy and perfect. You can still find pleasure in just a few close friends that somewhat becomes your family. There are no boundaries.
