brief High Communication 2003 concert review

I just finished watching High Communication 2003 concert by GLAY. In my opinion, I think the One Love in Beijing concert was much better. It was the mood and the songs in the former concert that blew me off. I don’t mean it in a bad way, it’s just that the songs were loud and harsh. Teru’s somewhat moody face didn’t help much either but one thing to be sure is they dressed really nice in the High Communication 2003 concert. Teru was sporting a black shirt inside with a long black trenchcoat and his normal black pants and shoes. Jiro, sporting a punk-like hairdo was really eye-catching in his hairdo and nice shades with some nice clothes on. Hisashi was really well-dressed, with a long trenchcoat thingy with a black scarf ala ninja kind at the beginning but took it off later, and wears his trademark high heeled boots. He looked really macho today. Takuro was sexy, with a sleeveless sweater with a plunging neckline and sexy leather pants. I can see that he’s been working out!

Other than that, there wasn’t many part in the concert that really attracted me. like I mentioned before, I wasn’t really connecting with their choice of songs. It’s like they are more harsh and rough. And I couldn’t really recognise the songs they play. It was probably from their latest album “The Frustrated” which I didn’t really listen due to their loud and noisy sound but “Runaway” sat well with me. I might be wrong but I felt as if Teru’s voice wasn’t up to expectations. He’s smoking too much. Oh well…. Can’t wait to start on the Tokyo Expo 2001, I’m still missing disc 1 though.
